Epic Chatter Ice Skating Gathering & Christmas
As I’m sitting at my computer, "The Holiday Season" song is playing over and over in my head. It’s hard to believe it is already almost Christmas. I feel as though this year has just flown by, but there are still loads of last minute tasks that need to be taken care of. Us girls decided to take a break from all the hustle and bustle and take our chances out on the ice for some good old fashioned fun, the kind you vaguely remember as our youth gets further and further away. I haven’t been ice skating for about 8 years but somehow made it out unharmed, something that can’t be said for everyone that was skating. We then explored downtown Tampa, got some drinks, and enjoying laughing together. The night was filled with love and happiness, exactly what the holidays are all about.
What are you doing to show love and bring happiness to others this Christmas? Over the years I’ve gotten to know Daniel, an employee at the bank I go to. While running to the bank with the family last week, Daniel mentioned that he didn’t have a Christmas tree of his own. He’d even looked into a Charlie Brown tree, but it was a big expense as the only person who would see it. I was eager to surprise him with a tree for his home. We bought our own tree and found the perfect branch to build Daniel’s tree. With some scrap wood for the base, the only cost was my time. It was all worth it to see the smile on Daniel’s face when I walked in holding the little tree made just for him.
I want to encourage you to take out time for you this holiday season to laugh, be kind, and enjoy life, but also to think of those around you that need the same. There’s so much magic in the air this time of year and we all deserve to enjoy it.
